#162 - What would you like to learn?

Hi,

It’s about 9:30 Wednesday evening and I’m sitting at my computer working on this email that I had hoped to have delivered to you this morning. It has been a busy and productive week so far. Busy enough that I’m running about a day behind on my writing.

In the past…as recently as a few weeks ago, I would be getting stress out about getting this piece written and recorded. This week, you’re just going to have to forgive me for not getting it recorded and edited. You’d be surprised at the amount of time that it takes to record, edit, upload, and post a video. By the time all is said and done, it can take me up to 4 hours to produce a 6 or 7 minute video.

I have learned that sometimes when you work alone, you can only do so much and then you have to say, “This is the best I have right now.” If you don’t, or more accurately, if I don’t, my stress level goes right through the roof. That makes getting projects finished even more difficult for me because of writer’s block, increased frustration from making mistakes due to rushing through things, and a feeling of overwhelm that causes everything to grind to a halt in my world. What are some things that cause you stress? How do you deal with it?

Stress takes all the fun out of what I so love to do. And, what I love best is talking to you all, answering your questions, helping you make better decisions. It’s most gratified when you come up to me and tell me the progress you’ve made on a relationship or that you’ve finally left a bad relationship and are getting your life back together.

I’m learning to let go of the stress that I put on myself to get things just the way I want them. I’m learning to let go of the things I cannot control. I’m learning to take better care of my time because, in the end, that is the one thing I can never get back!

What do you want to learn? What can I help you with? How can I be of service to you? How can I be better for you? Drop me a note at [email protected] and let me know what’s going on in your world.

Have a great and blessed week.

Rick
